Hello, my name is Bernard Hymmen and I welcome you to my ever-expanding collection of photographs! Sit back, relax and take a look around.

When I set this site up I tried to decided whether to make it a site focused solely on a portfolio and sales (complete with gratuitous use of Flash and a painfully inscrutable UI), or whether to make it a more personal site to share the many moments of my life even some of them aren't high art.

As I mulled the problem over, however, I realized that my art comes from my life. As a result presenting these two facets of my photography side-by-side makes perfect sense because each informs the other.
